In the offset printing production, we often encounter the phenomenon of over-emulsification of ink, which not only seriously affects the production speed and product quality, but also causes certain economic losses. Over-emulsification of ink is usually caused by excessive water supply. Therefore, the operator will generally solve the problem by reducing the amount of water supply and increasing the amount of ink supply. However, the adjustment effect can only be verified by printing. This is certainly a waste. A certain amount of time and materials.
For this reason, we have conducted research on over-emulsification of ink as a subject. Through the search for information on printing presses at home and abroad, we found that when dealing with such issues, we can learn from the methods adopted by Heidelberg CP2000 offset press. With respect to each ink zone, the installation of an axial fan in the dampening system allows the excess moisture in the area to evaporate quickly. Inspired by this approach, we designed an adjustable drying system to be installed on the offset press to quickly evaporate the excess moisture and reduce the chance of over-emulsifying the ink.
It can adjust the distance between the axial fan and the plate cylinder by the DC low-speed motor according to the amount of water in the ink zone, so that the excess moisture can be quickly volatilized, and the problem of over-emulsification of the ink due to excess water can be effectively solved. The machine has a low construction cost, a simple structure, and is easy to use. It can be removed from the offset printing machine at any time, without affecting the normal operation of the offset printing press, or destroying the original mechanism of the offset printing press.
At the same time, we also found in the test, due to the effectiveness of blowing, the mechanism can also remove the paper hair produced due to poor paper quality, thereby further improving the quality of printed products.
