According to reports, the biodegradable plastic food packaging materials developed and produced by the company solve the problems that cannot be solved by starch-based degradable plastics. The biodegradable plastic food packaging material is completely biodegraded after being left in the natural environment for 3 to 12 months and converted into carbon dioxide and water without any residue. And the physical properties of the plastic packaging made of the full biodegradable plastic food packaging materials, such as shopping bags, disposable tableware, etc., will not be affected, and good tensile strength, elasticity, toughness and transparency will be maintained. The technology has passed the inspection of the National Environmental Protection Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and obtained the EU biodegradation technology certification, filling the gap in the domestic industry, eradicating the white "pollution." Experts said that the move achieved a true sense of environmental protection.

It is reported that Qingdao Kangwen Bioplastics Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between New Zealand KJWI Plastics Co., Ltd. and Shandong Zhucheng Zhengtai Machinery Co., Ltd. The company produces 100kt/a biodegradable plastic raw materials and products, and 10kt/a biodegradable additives.
