BOPP film has small tensile deformation, is not easy to wrinkle, has good printing workability, good transparency and gloss, and excellent moisture resistance, but has poor heat sealability and tear resistance; CPP film has good heat sealability, but it is easy to pull when printing. Stretch deformation, so the tension control value is lower than BOPP, can be used for candy paper, composite heat seal layer; Confucian P film tensile deformation and heat sealing properties between BOPP film and CPP film, transparency and gloss, However, the thickness uniformity is worse than BOPP and CPP. Suitable for front printing, can be used for textile packaging.
Polyvinyl chloride film (PVC) has good transparency, gloss, and printability. It usually does not require surface treatment before printing, and has good adhesion to ink. Its disadvantages are poor heat resistance, poor cold resistance, and toxicity. It is used for food packaging. Pay attention to its safety and health. According to the amount of plasticizer, PVC film can be divided into hard, semi-rigid and soft three categories, its performance is slightly different.
Soft polyvinyl chloride films contain a large amount of plasticizers. These plasticizers will precipitate into the ink layer, causing discoloration, blocking, and ink migration failure. They are also susceptible to stretching, wrinkling, and overprinting. Therefore, tension control should be light. In addition, it is more easily stretched after being heated, causing difficulties for the printing operation. Soft PVC film is very self-adhesive when it is thin enough, and it is often used in fruit and vegetable packaging.
Considering salt bag's requirements on tensile strength, moisture resistance, heat-sealability and resistance, and mid-strike strength, it is better to use CPP and HDPE as packaging intima. It not only has good heat sealing property, but also can provide enough Strength and moisture resistance. For the outer film, PLT and 0PP with high strength, moisture resistance and low elongation are better. Considering the price factor, PVC is also a usable film for outer film of packaging.
