Xaar, together with its ink partner Avecia, has launched 71W00 white UV inks for use with the XJ126 and Leopard printheads. This UV ink uses UV curing principle and is a high performance, low volatility pigment ink. This is a specially designed ink that can be used with Xaar's XJ500, Leopard and XJ126 printheads for coding and labeling applications. Its introduction provides a new solution for the printing and packaging industry market, with a UV light source system for fast drying.

The ink can be applied to a variety of impermeable substrates, such as PVC, PC, acrylic and styrene materials. After this UV ink treatment, the prints exhibit excellent resistance to abrasion, water resistance and resistance to dissolution.

This ink uses 100% UV chemical material, has a very low volatility, 71 UV ink has a high ignition point, and is not flammable under Normal operating conditions. This ink is available in both 1-liter and 5-liter packages and has a shelf life of six months.
